Blog Inception / New Acquisitions at Yale
At the meeting I shared two titles Yale has recently acquired:
1. Verfassungen der Welt vom spaten 18. Jahrhundert bis Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts: Quellen zur Herausbildung des modernen Konstitutionalismus=Constitutions of the World from the Late 18th Century to the Middle of the 19th Century: Sources on the Rise of Modern Constitutionalism. Edited by Horst Dippel. Munich: Saur, 2005. This will be an expensive set, so proceed cautiously.
The first volume, Constitutional Documents of the United Kingdom 1782-1835, is 149 Euros. The set can be obtained from Harrassowitz.
Price is 850 Euros. It is available from Casalini. (Note that attached to it is a BD-Rom (25GB).
The Yale Law Library's first major acquisition of the new school year is Parliament Rolls of Medieval England, Rochester, NY: Boydell, 2005, covering the Parliamentary rolls from Edward I to Henry VII (1272-1509). The set consists of 17 volumes, 10,000 pages and 8 million words. (How do they know?) (ISBN 1843831619) The price is $2, 295. We purchased it from Yankee Book Press.
